WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM TREATMENT?
As the treatment is totally natural and is working with the body’s energy, the patient will feel revitalised all over and their general sense of well being will be improved - this is a fantastic alternative to medical and chemical treatments. The patient will notice that lines on the face start to fade as treatment progresses and also there is a new firmness about the skin which can be particularly evident in the jaw line and the sides of the cheeks. The whole face receives treatment at every session, but also specific areas can be targeted to focus on a patients requirements. This can be discussed at the initial consultation and also continuously throughout subsequent treatments.
Because we are using Acupuncture points on other parts of the body other than the face the patient will notice benefits to their overall health and well being, patients have reported cases of muscle aches and pains that have improved and also some eye conditions have shown significant improvement after a number of treatments. Any specific conditions can be discussed at the initial consultation and if at all possible these conditions may be able to be addressed during the treatments.
This treatment will not give the dramatic results that are achieved by medical procedures and the same results should not be expected, however, we are working with the patient's own natural energies and a more subtle and refined improvement should be expected at a fraction of the cost of surgery and other treatments.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING TREATMENT?
We are all individuals and therefore react to treatment in totally different ways, it is always advisable to embark on a 'course' of treatment to maximise the effects of Facial Enhancement Acupuncture. However, improvements can be evident after the first treatment and many patients have reported significant improvements in skin tone and quality after only three or four visits.
Patients can also undergo cosmetic acupuncture treatments as and when they feel they require them and they will notice a gradual improvement to their skin tone and condition as the treatments progress. These treatments can be carried out on a weekly basis or even a couple of times a week for more rapid results.
Patients ask me how often they should come for treatment, my answer to this is as regularly as they possibly can, the benefits of Acupuncture to the person's body, mind and spirit are tremendous. Now they have linked with Acupuncture to enhance their inner beauty as well, this can only be something they will benefit from for the rest of their life. How many people pay a membership to a Health club or Gym on a monthly direct debit and then only go every now and again? For the same sort of cost a patient can benefit from Acupuncture every month or every six weeks.
The initial appointment and treatment can take up to an hour and a half as a full medical history is taken from the patient and a specific treatment plan is tailored for them. This treatment plan may involve the use of other Acupuncture treatments to help address any conditions that have become evident during the consultation. Thereafter treatments will generally last approximately one hour to an hour and a half. This initial appointment of an hour and a half is necessary, even if the patient only plans to have one or two treatments, this way a complete history of the patient can be compiled and can be updated after subsequent visits.
Any visits to the clinic or discussions with the practitioner are always treated in the strictest confidence.

DO THE NEEDLES HURT?
The needles that are used for Acupuncture are very fine disposable needles. There is very little sensation when needled with them and only a mild stinging feeling may be experienced on some occasions, in fact the whole experience of a treatment can be very relaxing in itself. If you are unsure about the needles we can show you what is involved when you come for your free consultation. Most people who have not had Acupuncture before are surprisingly pleased at how fine the needles are.
There are no side effects evident after treatment, although there may be some localised bruising in some cases, but this is very minor and will not last long.
IS THIS TREATMENT SUITABLE FOR ME?
Many different people can benefit from Facial Enhancement Acupuncture, perhaps you have considered facial surgery in the past but do not really want to go down that route. Although the effects of Acupuncture can be profound, they cannot replace the results of a surgical procedure, however the results should be more subtle and natural looking.
This treatment is great for treating skin problems such as acne or poor skin tone and works with the body to help combat these conditions from within. Patients will generally feel an all over improvement after treatment, both physically and spiritually. WHAT DO I DO IF I LIVE A LONG DISTANCE FROM THE CLINIC?
If you do not live locally to the clinic then there are a couple of options open to you, we can put you in touch with a practitioner local to you, or why not spend a weekend in Cornwall for your first treatment and then go to a local practitioner.
The Mitchell Hill Clinic is conveniently situated in the lovely Cornish city of Truro. This cathedral city is fast becoming the centre of culture and entertainment in Cornwall, it boasts some fantastic restaurants and there is also the theatre, the 'Hall for Cornwall' which stages regular productions.
Truro is perfectly placed for travel to many local attractions such as the Eden Project and of course the magnificent Tate Gallery in picturesque St. Ives, both of which are only a short distance away.
