What is very interesting to note is that out of all the patients that come to see me for Facial Enhancement Acupuncture, 80% remain patients for 5 Element treatment after their course of Facial Enhancement Acupuncture has ended.
That either says a lot for my skills and personality, or is more likely to say how turned on to acupuncture they have become, once they experience it for the first time, whether it is facial/cosmetic or traditional acupuncture.
Now let's turn our attention to a Facial Enhancement Acupuncture treatment and what results your patients can expect. The main benefit that you will find, almost instantly, is that your patient’s general skin condition and skin tone will improve. If you are inserting thirty plus needles into the face you are bound to be affecting the circulation and the Qi energy throughout the skin.
I have noticed a dramatic improvement in skin tone, which becomes more even across the whole face, and pores around the T-zone of the nose and forehead do begin to shrink and close up.
As we age, the skin loses its elasticity and its ability to bounce back into shape and areas of the face start to sag. Facial Enhancement Acupuncture helps to tighten the underlying facial muscles and hence, reduce this sagging which can be particularly noticeable around the 'jowls' of the patient.
When we look at a patient who has lots of lines around their eyes, I personally do not see a great problem - these are evidence of character and a life lived to the full. However, they are not for everyone, so at least with this type of acupuncture we can effectively begin to reduce the appearance of these lines and also the bags and dark patches that appear beneath the eyes.
One of my favourite areas of the face that I like to work on is thenasal labial fold; this is the crease that runs from the corner of the mouth to the side of the nose. Using the intradermal needling technique, (described and demonstrated via an online video on the online training course) we can alter the appearance of this fold after only a few treatments.
